KIDS IMPROV & THEATRE GAMES
A Baddeck Winter Festival Event

Who: Kids aged 7-13 who are interested in playing games and learning a bit more about how theatre works. Absolutely no prior performing experience required - just a desire to try something new and have fun! 

What: A fun and relaxed afternoon of introductory theatre improv and games for kids led by Co-Artistic Producer Hannah Ziss. Learn more about Hannah here.

When: Saturday, February 22, 2025. 1-3pm.

Where: 24 Queen Street, Baddeck NS (The Masonic Hall)

Cost: $5 (advance) | $10 (drop-in)

ADULT IMPROV NIGHT
A Baddeck Winter Festival Event

Who: Adults aged 19+ who are interested in a fun night of improv! Did you know improv is not just for "theatre people"? It's a great way to have fun, meet new people, develop some communication skills and learn a little more about how theatre works. Absolutely no prior performing experience required - just a desire to try something new and have fun! 

What: An evening of introductory improv for adults led by Co-Artistic Producer Hannah Ziss. Learn more about Hannah here. The format will be very relaxed and social. In fact, the bar will open at 6:30pm and there will be a short "intermission" with bar service as well!

When: Tuesday, February 25, 2025. 7-9pm (bar opens at 6:30pm)

Hannah Ziss
Meet Hannah Ziss (she/her)

Hannah holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Windsor and a Masters in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is an actor, writer, producer, administrator, and teacher. She was the Young Company Co-ordinator for Lost & Found Theatre Inc. before co-founding Theatre Baddeck where she is the current Co-Artistic Producer.

As Young Company Co-ordinator for Lost & Found, Hannah created and taught theatre workshops for youth, toured high schools in the region to guest teach in drama classrooms, and directed a full production, Jitters, cast exclusively with young actors. She also successfully mentored and private coached young actors auditioning for theatre school. 

 

Selected acting credits - for Theatre Baddeck: The Young Ladies of Baddeck Club (actor and co-writer), The Ladies Foursome*, Pocket Rocket, The Shoplifters, Myth of the Ostrich. Elsewhere: You Were My Friend (Nortesur Artistic Productions), Charles Dickens Writes A Christmas Carol, Pocket Rocket (Lost & Found Theatre).

Hannah lives in Sydney, NS with her husband and two kids.
